JMI Recruit is founded in 2017 by Joel Lim Min Sheu, a Malaysian Chinese due to his passion in gaming and technology.
To date, JMI Recruit has been involved in the recruitment projects for company HQ, overseas branches, gaming studios and R&D centers across the US, China, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. The type of talents headhunted have came from different disciplines including art, technical, operations, sales and marketing.
JMI Recruit prioritizes on service quality and the understanding of China corporate culture, with each consultant fluent in both English and Mandarin. JMI Recruit has utmost confidence in collaborating with China companies for their overseas expansion and working out the most effective ways in recruiting top local talents.

FOUNDER

Born and bred in the beautiful island of Penang, Malaysia, Joel developed his passion in gaming and technology since his preschool years. As influenced by Malaysia’s multi-cultural society, Joel is highly fluent in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu.
Despite having an engineering background, Joel possesses an entrepreneurial spirit which saw him founded several startups including Bridalgram, Rent A Space and JMI Recruit.
Upon graduation, Joel joined a Singapore based executive recruitment firm in 2015 and perfected his headhunting skills there. His fluency in both English and Mandarin as well as his excellent service quality garnered positive feedback from his clients and candidates.
Due to the rapid growth of China gaming and technology scene, Joel decided to put his entire focus on the business operations of JMI Recruit starting in 2020 in order to better serve China companies with overseas expansion plans.
Joel’s vision is to push JMI Recruit to be the go-to headhunting firm in assisting the overseas expansion of China companies. Therefore, Joel consistently demands the best for service quality, recruitment of internal consultant, business operations and the understanding of talent pool, in order to minimize the difficulties faced by China companies in overseas hiring.
